Legoland

What child doesn’t love Legos™? More, what child doesn’t love amusement parks?

Legoland is great fun for the entire family. The entire theme is based around Legos, and you’ll see many parts of the park built with Legos. The rides look like Legos.

Legoland is fun even for very young children, although they will be somewhat limited in what they can do, as with any other amusement park. However, there’s still plenty for them to see and do.

Some of the rides are more challenging than you might expect at an amusement park. There’s one that is more a competition than a ride, as you pump your fire engine to the hose, then pump the water out to be the first to put out the fire, then pump back. Trust me, it’s exhausting, but the kids love it. Other rides are also self-propelled. There are, of course, more traditional roller coasters as well.

The park is separated by theme. There’s Fun Town, Dino Island, Explore Village, Knight’s Kingdom, the Imagination Zone and Miniland U.S.A.

Miniland U.S.A. is quite impressive. You’ll find miniature representations of several major U.S. cities. You can walk around and look, but there’s also a boat ride that goes around some of the miniatures.

One of the things my family enjoyed was the rooms where kids can actually just sit and build with Legos. There are a variety of rooms, so that your child can work with the Legos appropriate to their age and interest.

Shopping at Legoland is fun as well. One of my personal favorites was the scoopable Legos. You can buy them by the pound there. It’s great if there’s something your kids love to build with and you just don’t have enough of that particular block.

Your visit to Legoland is sure to be a great time for the entire family. Plan to spend at least one whole day there, and consider whether or not you want extra days there.
