New Panda Buffet

Just tried out a new buffet in town and we’re definitely going back.

It’s called New Panda Buffet. If you’ve been to East Buffet, which I will also review sometime, you get the idea. Food selection isn’t quite as big, perhaps, but they do have a lovely Mongolian barbeque so that you can have them prepare things especially for you. There’s also a good sushi bar.

A big focus there is on the seafood. They have quite a selection of shrimp, crab and fish dishes.

I would have liked a better salad bar, but I’ve seen worse.

However, the one thing that makes these guys stand out is their ice cream. They have Dreyer’s ice cream available rather than the usual soft serve that just about every other buffet offers.

This was the location of Acapulco Restaurant which recently closed down there. As the previous review said, NPB is a decent place, somewhat like Sunshine Buffet in Kearny Mesa, but with a little nicer environment.

I’d like to add my recomendation for the New Panda Buffet to Freddies and the reviewers. This place is awsome. Most buffets bring out the crab and shrimp dishes for the dinner prices but NPB has plenty of both for lunch. At $7.99 you can not go wrong for lunch. Try the crab puffs…terrific. The only thing NOT included are the drinks so a soda and tip brings the bill to $10. Still a great deal!
As Freddie also mentioned, they remodeled the Acapulco Resturant so everything is new and clean and nice.
