Old Poway Park

My daughter’s preschool class took a field trip to Old Poway Park, giving me the perfect opportunity to review it for this site.
Old Poway Park is lovely. It covers more than 4 acres and has a variety of historic buildings that were moved to the park and trains you can ride with your family.

The picnic area is lovely. Tables are placed under trees for the most part, so you can enjoy a picnic lunch without sitting in the sun. Poway gets very hot during the summer, so this is important. There is also a large grassy area for the kids to play in.
Trains typically only operate on Saturdays and Sundays; however they are closed the second Sunday of each month.
There’s a Farmer’s Market each Saturday and a Craft Market on Saturdays between Labor Day and Christmas.
Come visit this beautiful park and take advantage of everything you can do here. Even if you choose to come on a weekday you’ll enjoy the tranquil beauty of Old Poway Park.
