Reuben H. Fleet Science Center
We took the kids this week to the Reuben H. Fleet Science Center. This was always a favorite when growing up.
We bought tickets both for the Science Center and to see the IMAX film “Dolphins.” The movie was great. Even my son, who is just 15 months old, loved the movie. This was the first time we’d taken the kids to see an IMAX movie, so they were quite impressed. We had to sit in the lower left area since my son is so young, which is a pity since my favorite is the front of the upper area in the middle.
The science center right now has a special kids’ display for children ages 1-6. Both of my kids are in that range, so they had a blast in there. My son, young as he is, looks to be a computer geek at the rate he’s going, and made a beeline for the computers they had set up for the kids, and no interest in leaving them for the toys. My daughter was more adventurous and explored pretty much everything.
This is not to say that the rest of the science center wasn’t worthwhile for them. They enjoyed the tornado simulation and just about everything else. My daughter helped me to build an arch, then my son knocked it down. Nothing like a little cooperation between siblings.
